2C-B Guide: 2C-B Dosage, Experience, Benefits, & Effects

There is an absence of scientific research regarding 2C-B addiction and withdrawal. 2C-B is considered to have a low potential for abuse similar to other hallucinogens. In the case of 2C-B addiction treatment, there is no evidence to suggest whether it is optimal to quit 2C-B cold turkey or gradually.

It is potentially very dangerous in combination with MAOIs, tramadol, mescaline, amphetamines, cocaine, and others. At this time, it’s unclear whether it’s worthwhile to microdose with 2C-B. One mother who took the drug with her son—who had recently moved away—learned how to let go as a parent and accept his individuality. Importantly for their relationship, she came to appreciate him as a separate, self-contained being.[37] Others report its usefulness in strengthening bonds between couples. Because 2C-B can inhibit one’s spatial coordination and attention span, a space as free from hazards as possible is the ideal setting for an experience. The drug’s mild anesthetic effect can sometimes allow injuries to go unnoticed.[11][26] Driving is especially dangerous while under the influence and should always be avoided.

Systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and heart rate (HR) were measured with an automatic Omron® monitor at baseline and 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 h after self-administration. When mixing 2C-B with other psychedelics like cannabis, a person might experience anxiety and increase the probability of a bad trip. Anecdotal reports claim the “come-down” period of 2C-B typically lasts between 2 and 4 hours. During this comedown, some people may experience a bad trip, causing them to “crash” or become depressed. While hallucinogens are not typically addictive, 2C-B’s stimulant effects can lead to addiction, causing long-term negative effects. People may depend on the drug to achieve positive feelings, neglecting aspects of their daily lives to acquire or use it.

Despite being known as perhaps the most painful drug to snort, 2C-B powder is also available; snorting hits harder and faster, with effects fading quicker. A normal pill come-up takes about 45 to 75 minutes, while the peak lasts two to four hours and the comedown one to two. Drugs that affect a person’s mental state (psychoactive drugs) can also have varied effects depending on a person’s mood (often called the ‘set’) or the environment they’re in (the ‘setting’). Due to the lack of formal research about the use and effects of 2C-B, some of the information provided below is based on anecdotal user reports. In relation to the VESSPA-SP questionnaire, 2C-B induced significant increases compared to baseline in all subscales.
